William David Williams, 60 years old of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 while surrounded by his family at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born October 4, 1949 to the late Roy E. and Lois (Eveland) Williams also of Wilkes-Barre.
Billy attended E. L. Meyers High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served at the rank of Sergeant until his discharge in 1975. He later worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in quality control and was a member of Local Teamsters 401.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol and Jeannie and brothers, Kenneth and Charles.
Surviving are his brother Ronald of Stillwater; sister Loisanne Wolfe of New York; his children; daughter Tamara Williams of Wilkes-Barre, son Speed D. Williams and his wife Amber of Wilkes-Barre Twp., and their mother Lynda Bates Williams of Hanover Township; grandchildren Curtis, Samantha, Bo and Luke; nieces and nephews and his “little cat.”
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by Rev. K. Gene Carroll, Ph.D. Friends may call Saturday from 3 - 5 p.m.
