Life Legacy
Charles Clarke Watkins, 70, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township. For the past six years he has been a resident of the Smith Nursing Home, Mountain Top.
He was born September 26, 1937 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Stewart and Anna Clarke Watkins. He was a 1955 graduate of Coughlin High School and graduated from Kings College, Class of 1959. An Army veteran he was self employed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Watkins served as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Ashby, Anne Claire Kennedy, brothers, John and Thomas Watkins.
Surviving, sister, Alice Russomano, Dallas, brother, James S. Watkins, Mountain Top,nieces and nephews, John Watkins, Karen Watkins, Robert Kennedy Jr., Stuart Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, William Kennedy, Kelly Ann Kennedy, James Watkins, Mark Roberts, Debbie MacDonald, Kathleen Kaiser.
Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements are by E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
