Allan Glasson

Beech Mountain Lakes

 

Allan Glasson, 59 of Beech Mountain Lakes, Drums and formally of Parsons, passed into the arms of the Lord Thursday, July 27, 2023 at  Sacred Heart Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Allan was a 1982 graduate of Coughlin High School. He spent many years in the printing industry, working at Suburban Publishers and Quad Graphics and was proud of his printing heritage.   He was the supervisor of maintenance at Beech Mountain Lakes, prior to his illness.

Allan was an avid New York Mets and Minnesota Vikings fan.  He recently was able to attend a Mets game at Citi Field.  Allan also loved to read and draw.  He had an appreciation for nature and enjoyed hiking and exploring.  He loved music and went to many concerts during his lifetime.  

Fondly known as Big Al, he had a big heart and a big smile.  He was so kind and he would help anyone he could.  We can’t imagine our life without him.  Allan loved the Lord and his faith was of comfort to him through his illness. 

Allan is survived by his mother Delilah Glasson, Parsons, daughter Karisa, (Jason) Payor; Jason was like a son to Allan; grandchild Julianna (Jagger) Bear Creek; siblings, Cindy (Greg) Milton, Texas, Sandy (Phil) Allabaugh, Mountain Top, Scott (Tammy) Glasson Hanover, Steven (Jennifer)Glasson, Parsons and former spouse Ann Glasson, Bear Creek. He has numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews who will greatly miss their Uncle Al. 

He was preceded in death by his father George Glasson and Godson Ryan Allabaugh.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Services will be conducted by Pastor Sal Reyes.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
