Florence T. Cadden, 98, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022. Florence was born and raised in Pringle, the daughter of Martin and Flora Schnappauf. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School and was a member of the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Kingston. Florence was a loving, devoted and thoughtful wife , mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always put her family first and we will miss her greatly. She was a strong, independent woman and instilled in her family to always do what is right. She was an exceptional cook and baker and she passed her recipes and secret ingredients to her children and grandchildren. Whether you knew her as Mom, Grandma, Grandma Cadden or Florence she always had a place at the table for anyone to enjoy her meals and baked goods. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved hearing stories about her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Grandma Cadden as she was known will be remembered for her little gifts for birthdays, and Christmas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack, her parents, and brothers, Martin, Joseph, John(Hansie), and Charles. She is survived by her daughters; Mary (Matt) Kopetchny, Harrisburg, Pat (Jack) Schultz, Kingston, Eileen (George) Barto, Bear Creek, Kathleen (Don) DeRemer, Shavertown; grandchildren; John Kopetchny, Harrisburg, Tony Kopetchny, Fort Worth, Texas, Erin Moreck, Forty Fort, Shelby Naperski, Forty Fort, Danielle Tkaczyk, Shavertown, Tina Chandler, Newtown, Donny DeRemer, Shavertown, and Ryan DeRemer, Harveys Lake; great grandchildren; Casey and Lucia Kopetchny, Caden and Avery Moreck, Bryn and Owen Naperski, Deacon and Violet Tkaczyk, Eliza Chandler; nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Monday at 10:15 a.m. in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, N. Maple Avenue, Kingston. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle. Arrangements made by Maher Collins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen, 39 East Jackson Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine upon your face and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
