It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, John C. Gaudio, M.D. after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of King’s College and Hahnemann University. Upon graduation from medical school, he completed an internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Reading. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army for two years. After the Service, he decided to pursue the specialty of Pediatrics where he completed his residencies at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Gaudio experienced a 50 year career as a Pediatrician at Pediatric Associates of Kingston, LLC. He was extremely dedicated to his patients and thoroughly cherished caring for and knowing them.
Jack will be greatly missed by his wife Jane of 57 blessed years together and daughter Melissa. Also surviving him are his sister-in-law, Janet Gaudio and niece Lisa Gaudio Schwedock (Jeff). He was preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Carmen, brother Robert, niece and nephew.
He had been dedicated to his faith serving for many years as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Ignatius Church. In addition, he had a special mission of giving to many charitable organizations.
Jack was a talented pianist, had accompanied the glee club while he attended King’s College, but primarily played the piano for enjoyment throughout his life. We will greatly miss his music, kindness, gentleness, eternal optimism, generosity, joy, positivity, patience, wisdom, creative talent, and superb, witty sense of humor.
We want to thank many people along the way for their support and kindness including Dr. Richard Blum, Dr. Walter DelGaudio, Dr. David Andolino, Dr. David Greenwald and his supportive team at Medical Oncology Associates. We also want to thank Mary Erwine and her wonderful aides for their great care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider a charitable donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Dinners for Kids Organization, or Make-A-Wish.
