Margaret Yankovich

Maureen Yankovich, of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2025 at her home. She was born October 10, 1938 and was the daughter of the late James and Julia Kelly.

Maureen was employed at the Juvenile Detention Center in Wilkes-Barre for many years. Her love for her family was unwavering and anyone that knew her loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Yankovich; brothers Jim Kelly, John Kelly; sister Carol Evans. 

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Pat Shaffer and her husband Fred, son Andrew Yankovich and his wife Wanda, son James Yankovich and his wife Melissa, daughter Janice Blose and her husband Todd; sister Kathy Brandon and her husband Bob; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 North Maple Avenue, Kingston. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home.
